Without the hard work and dedication of our foster parents and volunteers, Polo’s Refuge would not exist! Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our program, and we value each and every one of them. (Please note – volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.)
We have a great volunteer team, but we’re always looking for more help. And that means YOU! Right at the moment, Polo’s Refuge has a need for volunteers to help with the following:
- Do you like cuddling with little dogs? Our residents LOVE visitors, and the highlight of each day is the time they get to spend with our volunteers. Polo’s Refuge is ALWAYS looking for volunteers to come spend time with our dogs, and we desperately need help with daily care. We need YOU! Are you interested in feeding the residents their dinner, making sure they get their meds, and cuddling them? We’d love to have YOU! (NOTE: Our retirement home is located between Tallahassee and Monticello, so you will need to provide your own transportation.) Fill out our Volunteer Form here.
- Do you have an interest in fundraising/events? We sure could use a Fundraising/Events coordinator and committee members. Fundraising is vital to the operation of a successful program, and the fundraising /events coordinator and committee are worth their weight in gold! Polo’s Refuge/CSTR is funded solely by donations, and so an active and committed fundraising committee is essential to its success. Interested? Email info@polosrefuge.org!
- Grant Writing. Do you have experience researching and writing grants? Polo’s Refuge/CSTR is always looking for new ways to fund our program and is looking for someone who would be willing to research and apply for grants on our behalf. Interested? Email info@polosrefuge.org!
- Transporting. Do you work from home or have a flexible job schedule? We need people who have the ability to travel between Tallahassee and Monticello during the day on weekdays to take dogs to grooming or vet appointments and then take them back to the retirement home.
